1899-P $20 Liberty MS63 - Extreme Scarcity, $50 Off!
We’ve just returned from the summer ANA convention in Denver with one of the best deals I’ve seen in nearly 30 years!
I'm extremely pleased to offer a cache of original 1899-P $20 Liberty gold coins in gorgeous, choice uncirculated Mint State 63 condition. These coins are 15 times scarcer than the common 1904-P date, but they are trading right now for merely 4% over that much commoner date. Plus, these coins are simply stunning. Crisp, fresh coins with frosty original mint luster that numismatists (coin nerds) like us love to see.
To make this even more exciting, we're offering a special price of $50 off per coin while supplies last!
I want to emphasize how unusual it is to find a cache of these scarce 1899-P dates at all, let alone gorgeous example likes these. We’ve never been able to offer a group of 1899-P's like this to our clients before! They come directly from a bank vault in Europe where they've laid untouched for many decades. I can’t imagine a better offer on classic US gold cons for our clients today. Our supply is extremely limited, when they are gone, they’re gone!
Common Date $20 Liberty MS63 – Great value
Common date $20 Liberty MS63 coins are already an exceptional value in the current market. After bottoming in recent months, their prices are rising from a 10-year low. As you can see below, in January 2013, they traded for $2,440, 50% more than today. In December 2009, they traded for $3,060, nearly twice their current low price! Premiums for common date $20 Liberty MS63 are just 27% over their intrinsic gold value today, less than half of their 10-year average premium of 64%. Indeed, common date $20 Liberty MS63 coins are one of the best buys in the current market.
1899-P $20 Liberty MS63 – Exceptional scarcity, low premium, better value
As good as the common dates are, these 1899-P $20 Liberty MS63 coins are even better! Why? Because they are so much scarcer than common examples. 50% of all known MS63 $20 Liberty coins are from the 1904-P mintage. This the most affordable date, with nice examples nearly always available, so it's used as the baseline coin to track historical prices and premiums by grade. While PCGS and NGC have graded more than 137,000 examples of the 1904-P in MS63, they have graded only 9,180 examples of the 1899-P, making it 15X rarer than the baseline 1904-P $20 Liberty in MS63!
Why is this greater scarcity important? Because scarcer-dated coins can generate much higher premiums in a rising market than common dates in the same grade, and can hold their premiums longer in a falling market. For example, in the hot coin market of 2010, 1899-P $20 Liberty MS63 coins traded for 20% to 30% more than the 1904-P. That's 5 to 7 times today's low 4% price difference. Later, when the market began to cool, their prices and premiums fell much more slowly than the common date. In other words, 1899-P dates offer the potential for substantially higher profits in a strong market, while also reducing volatility in your metals portfolio when the market softens.
Autumn is coming!
This past spring and summer, prices and premiums for many classic U.S. $20 gold coins dropped to their lowest levels in years as investors shifted from safe havens into surging stocks. This herd mentality has created an incredible buyers' market for savvy, contrarian investors in classic U.S. $20 gold coins. With the dollar breaking down recently and stocks getting toppy, gold is rebounding with gusto but classic US gold coins have yet to catch up. As we head into autumn, the traditional fall buying season for precious metals, we expect prices and premiums on classic gold coins to snap back. In today's market, these 1899-P $20 Liberty gold coins in MS63 offer an outstanding opportunity that simply should not be passed up!

Extreme scarcity, Outstanding value
Common date Type 3 $20 Liberty gold coins are very popular and for good reasons. In choice Brilliant Uncirculated Mint State 63 condition, they combine true scarcity, large gold content, and very low prices to create an excellent buy in bulk gold.
1899-P $20 Liberty coins in MS63 are even better! They are 15 times as scarce as the common date examples for little additional cost. Scarcer coins can generate much higher premiums in a rising market than common dates in the same grade, and can hold their premiums longer in a falling market.
50% of all known MS63 $20 Liberty coins are from the 1904-P mintage. This the most affordable date, with nice examples nearly always available, so it's used as the baseline coin to track historical prices and premiums by grade. While PCGS and NGC have graded more than 137,000 examples of the 1904-P in MS63, they have graded only 9,180 examples of the 1899-P. That means 15X the scarcity for nearly the same price as the common date.
Unlike most forms of gold bullion, they are exempt from broker reporting requirements. In our opinion, they're better than bullion for bulk gold buyers.
