Argentina 5 Peso Argentino, XF-AU Obverse Argentina 5 Peso Argentino, XF-AU Reverse

We recommend Argentina 5 peso Argentinos in Extra Fine to Almost Uncirculated (XF-AU) condition as a better alternative to modern bullion coins for bulk gold buyers. They offer all of the benefits of bullion plus additional benefits like collector demand, financial privacy, and the potential for additional premiums based on fundamental scarcity. Yet they're trading today for little more bullion, making them an excellent value.

Minted from 1881 to 1896, Argentinos are almost the same size and weight as the popular British Sovereign but far scarcer in the market. National ideals of freedom and unity are reflected in the design, which features a portrait of Liberty on the obverse and the traditional seal of Argentina, with two hands joining together, on the reverse.

True scarcity, excellent value

Out of an uncertain original mintage, most Argentinos have been lost to the ravages of time and the melting pot. Relatively few have survived in XF-AU condition, making them scarcer in the market than many of European gold coins we trade in bulk. Such scarcity can drive premiums during periods of peak demand.

Unlike most forms of gold bullion, they are exempt from broker reporting requirements. In our opinion, they're better than bullion for bulk gold buyers.

Key Benefits

Better than bullion. Argentinos offer extra benefits like limited supply, collector demand, complete financial privacy, and extra premium potential because of scarcity.
True scarcity This true scarcity can mean higher premiums during periods of peak demand.
Private, secure, and liquid. Unlike most forms of gold bullion, they are exempt from broker reporting requirements.
