A truly amazing first year type coin. White and as fully struck as any Bust Quarter you're ever likely to see. Mirrored fields and frosty devices give this piece a nearly proof look that serves as testament to it's special preparation, perhaps as a presentation piece to a dignitary of the era. To date PCGS shows only nine pieces graded MS 65 with only three graded higher. For overall look and eye appeal I would put this coin up against any of those higher graded coins and expect a win. This is the kind of coin that can re attain the high trading level that some issues reached in the last market peak. This piece was in the 50k neighborhood back then and in my opinion will be again." |
