Buying Canada Silver Dollars, BU
Minted from 1935 to 1966 by the Royal Canadian Mint, these classic coins are the last 80% pure silver dollars minted for regular issue by the Canadian government. They represent the end of the era of real silver coinage and are relatively scarce today. Yet they're trading at low premiums over melt value, making them a bargain in today's silver market.
These authentic silver dollars feature the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II of England on the obverse and the image of two intrepid explorers, known as "voyageurs," paddling a birchbark canoe on the reverse. The vertical lines above the voyageurs represent the Northern Lights.
Better than silver bullion
Canada silver dollars offer all the benefits of silver bullion plus extra benefits like limited supply, collector demand, complete financial privacy, and extra premium potential because of scarcity, all for little additional cost. In our opinion, they're better than bullion for bulk silver buyers.
Benefits of Canada Silver Dollars
Low price-- Canadian silver dollars trade at a relatively low premium over their melt value.
Content silver guaranteed-- Minted by the Royal Mint of Canada, these silver dollars are backed by the Canadian government for weight and silver content.
True scarcity-- Canadian silver dollars survive in relatively limited numbers. Their true scarcity can mean higher premiums during periods of peak demand.
Better than bullion-- All the benefits of silver bullion plus extra benefits like limited supply, collector demand, complete financial privacy, and extra premium potential because of scarcity.
Easy to store and transport-- Silver dollar coins are compact, convenient, and easy to store or transport. We pack them securely in 3-inch tall break-proof plastic tubes, perfect for home safes and bank safety deposit boxes.
Better than bars and ingots-- We recommend silver dollar coins over silver bars and ingots because they are far easier to sell, store, and transport, and do not incur the additional costs of assaying.
